I'm New

We are so glad you are here. Whether you are new to the area, new to faith, or simply looking for a church family — you have come to the right place. First United Methodist Church in De Leon is a warm, welcoming congregation where everyone is invited. Here is what to expect on your first Sunday.

We offer Sunday School classes for all ages — from toddlers to adults. This is a great way to meet people and dig into scripture in a smaller group setting. Totally optional for first-time visitors, but we'd love to have you!

After Sunday School, our Hospitality Room in Heritage Hall is open for coffee and donuts. This is an informal, no-pressure time to chat, meet some friendly faces, and get comfortable before worship. All visitors and members are welcome.

Our worship service features contemporary Christian music, praise, the liturgy of the United Methodist Church, congregational singing, prayer, and Children's Time. Pastor Kaiya's sermons are biblically based and address both social and moral issues as well as passages from the Revised Common Lectionary. It is a meaningful, spirit-filled hour.

We understand that life happens. That is why we livestream our Sunday Morning Worship every week at 10:30 AM on Facebook — De Leon FUMC Live. You can worship from home, on the road, or anywhere in between.
