A Small Church in a Big Heart
De Leon FUMC is a small church located in the rural community of De Leon, Comanche County — nestled roughly halfway between Abilene and Fort Worth. We are proud members of the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.

How Methodism Spread
Methodism spread rapidly throughout the United States in the late 18th and early 19th centuries through itinerant preachers. Wesley and the early Methodists were particularly concerned about inviting people to experience God's grace and to grow in their knowledge and love of God through disciplined Christian living. They placed primary emphasis on Christian living — on putting faith and love into action.
Where We Stand Today
Today, we continue that legacy right here in De Leon. Our congregation gathers each week to worship, study, fellowship, and serve — living out the Methodist mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We are a welcoming community where everyone is invited to experience God's love.
"Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as ever you can."
